Scorpion Trail - Geoffrey Archer A fast paced, quick to read thriller about an ex MI5 agent who has been living undercover for the past 20 or so yearsAfter a tragic accident involving his step son, his current marriage is pretty much over, and after he is contacted by an associate decides to assist in the humanitarian effort in Bosnia. On the way there he catches sight of an old flame, also invokes in the relief process. As he goes to Bosnia, he is contacted by MI5 to see if he can find evidence on a mass murderer.A fairly complex plot ensues with Iranian scientists trying to obtain nuclear material, a collusion of western security services, and the IRA trying to locate Alex to avenge a murder.Quite enjoyed it, and is better that some of his others that I have read.
